Why would I become a member of CMN?
Becoming a member of CMN? Everybody wants and everybody can do it! If you join the CMN community, you would be able to:
- Show your skills when you take up a challenge
- Dare your friends by putting them to the test
- Win a lot of prizes by collecting Challenge Points
- Rate and comment your friends’ VPS
- Create groups to dare your friends and take up their challenges according to your centers of interest

How to win prizes?
There are two ways to win prizes on CMN:
1. Take up awarded challenges: if your video/picture/sound reaches the challenge top contributions, you win the prize(s) at stake.:
2. Earn as many Challenge Points as you can: the 3 members who will have earned the most CP within the current month will also receive a present.

What is a challenge?
A challenge is a test you put to the members of Challenge My Net. That test can cover several domains (sports, music, dance, wild, urban, humanitary and ecology, …) and its recipients can vary according to the will of its author (the whole CMN community, all of your friends or only some of them, your group(s)).
Please report to the Terms of Use and Ethical Charter of CMN to find out the conditions to respect to create or take up a challenge.

What is a contribution ?
A contribution is a video, a picture or a sound allowing you to take up a challenge.

How to create a challenge ?
Wherever you are in the website, you can create a challenge by clicking on the central button “create a challenge” located at the top of each page. Then you have to fill in the form with the following information :
- Title of the dare > stay as clear and concise as possible in order to make it easier for your friends to understand your challenge.
- Description > give some details about your new challenge. Be careful, blur descriptions could create some confusion among your friends and you may be disappointed if the results do not look like your first ambition.
- Image > you can illustrate your challenge by sending an image.
- Explicit content > tick that box if you estimate that your challenge is only for people over 18. For more information, read our Ethical Charter.
- Category and second category > choose carefully the category in which you want to classify your challenge. That choice is important if you want your dare to be easy to find for the members of CMN. The second category is optional, you can add it if you really feel that your challenge responds to 2 themes.
- Duration > Change the duration of your dare according to its difficulty. At the end of the period you will have determined, no one will be able to send any VPS. A week after the participation deadline, the final rankings will be established.
NB: Rates and comments concerning the VPS of your challenge can be sent from the beginning of the challenge, and until the release of the ranking (i.e. a week after the participation deadline).
- Recipients > In that section, you can determine who will be able to take part to the challenge.

Dare :
1. The whole community
If the challenge is open to anyone, each of CMN members will be able to take part to the challenge and to send his VPS. All members, except from those who will have sent a VPS, will also be able to rate the VPS of your challenge. You can also warn your friends of the release of your challenge by selecting them in the XXX list.
2. Your group
Select one of your groups to dare all of its members. All the members of CMN will be able to rate the VPS sent.
To get online, your challenge will have to be validated by the admin or the officers of your group.
3. Your friends
If the challenge is only for your friends, you must select those who will be able to take part to the challenge (click on ‘all’ if you wish to invite all of your friends to your challenge). All CMN members, except from the challengers, will be able to rate the VPS.

How to take up a challenge ?
A challenge can be taken up by clicking on the button « take up the challenge » in the page of the challenge (if it is open to the whole community of CMN). It can also be taken up through the invitation you received from the challenge’s creator or from a friend.
In the participation form, you have two options:
- You can immediately send your VPS . In this case, you have to make a description of your VPS and tick the box “explicit content” (only for people over 18) if necessary (read our Terms of Use and our Ethical Charter for more details).
- You can send our VPS later. But be careful, you must respect the time limit! When the time is over, you cannot be part of the challenge. Moreover, if you finally had not send your VPS then you will be considered as a chicken …

Why can’t I take up some challenges ?
You have not access to some challenges for 3 reasons:
- The challenge is a “group challenge” and you are not a member of this group. In that case, if the group is public then you can directly join it in order to take up their challenges. But if the group is private, then you will first have to send a request for admission to the group’s admin. You will be able to take up the challenge once you are a member of the group.
- The challenge is a “friendly challenge”. In that case, this dare is only for the recipients chosen by the challenge’s author. You will only be able to consult, comment and rate this challenge.
- The challenge you try to take up is ended or rating.

My VPS does not appear online. Why?
There might be 2 reasons to this:
- Your VPS has not been watched by our officers yet. In that case, please be patient! This process does not usually exceed more than 2 hours.
Your VPS does not meet the moral and ethical codes of CMN, which are defined in our Ethical Charter. In that case, you are welcomed to send a new VPS which would be more adequate, or, if necessary, to tick the “over 18” checkbox as you send your VPS.

How to win a challenge?
To win a challenge, your VPS/picture/ has to get the best score at the end of the challenge + 1 week. Here are some explanations about how we calculate your score:
1. We select the 3 days for which your VPS has reached its highest views level.
2. We calculate the average rate of your VPS for each of these 3 days.
3. Then, we multiply each average rate by the views numbers of the corresponding days.
4. The final score is the addition of the 3 products.

How to appear in the top group ranking?
Ce classement est effectué d’après les scores de groupes calculés de la manière suivante :
Score du groupe = (Nombre de vidéos dans le groupe/nombre de membres du groupe)*nombre total de consultations des vidéos du groupe.
Exemple :
Un groupe composé de 100 membres, possédant 50 vidéos et totalisant 5000 consultations, toutes vidéos confondues, obtiendra un score de : (50/100)*5000 = 2500 points.

Why can’t I challenge some people?
You can challenge a person only if he/she belongs to your friends’ network. So make a request for friendship to the person you want to challenge.

What is the Star Challenge?
This is the CMN V.I.P. section in which a celebrity commits him/herself to taking up a challenge provided that he/she got enough support. For the star to take up the challenge, you just need to show some support by clicking on “support” in the current Star Challenge page.

What are the Challenge Points (CP) for?
CPs enable us to determine the CMN members monthly ranking. Each month, the member who will have won the most CP will receive a prize.

How to win CPs ?
First, we offer each new CMN member 1000 CPs. Then, CPs can be won through different ways:
- Create a challenge: 10 CPs/challenge (5 challenges/day max.)
- Take up challenges: 100 CPs/file sent.
- Win challenges: your ranking depends on your score.
o The first wins 500 CPs.
o The second wins 300 CPs.
o The third wins 100 CPs.
- Invite your friends to become CMN members: 100 CPs/new member.

Why is my CP capital decreasing?
Each time you chicken, you lose 10 CPs automatically. You’d better take your courage in both hands!

Why would I create a group ?
Thanks to the groups, CMN members are able to gather and take up challenges related to their centers of interest. Thus, the group members could face each other during the challenges created in the group.

How to create a group?
In the “groups” section, you just have to click on “create a group” and to fill in the form: group name, description (or purpose of the group), picture or logo illustrating the group.
You can choose the group type: if you create a “public” group, then every CMN member would be able to join It, but if you create a ‘private’ group, then people who want to join it would have to send a request for admission to the group admin.
Don’t forget to invite your friends to join the group (CMN members or your contact lists from Gmail, MSN, AOL, …).

Who are the admin and the officers?
The admin of a group is the member who created it. The officers and the admins can:
• Accept or decline the requests for admission to their group
• Accept or decline the challenge propositions made by the other members of the group.
• Delete members of their group
• Delete graffiti left by members of the group
Moreover, only the admin can:
• Customize his/her group by changing the picture or the description of the group
• Appoint as many officers as he wants
Warning: if he wants to leave his own group, the admin must have appointed at least one officer, so as not to leave the group by itself. The first appointed officer will become the new admin.
Why can’t I join some groups ?
Some groups are private: the admin or the officers must give their consent to your request for admission before you can join their group.

They enable you to quickly find the VPS and the challenges you have loved the most on CMN. To add a VPS/challenge to your favorites, click on the “add to my favorites” button.
